Mr. Tilak Rajakaruna
Group Chairman

Mr. Tilak Rajakaruna serves as the Chairman of the Lexicon Institute of Technology, guiding the institute with a clear vision for academic excellence, innovation, and international collaboration. With a distinguished background in education, he brings decades of leadership experience to the strategic growth and governance of the institution. Under his chairmanship, the Lexicon Institute of Technology is committed to delivering high-quality education, advancing research, and preparing graduates to thrive in a rapidly changing global environment. His leadership reflects a deep belief in the transformative power of education and a dedication to building an institution that contributes to national development and global knowledge exchange. As Chairman, he provides strategic leadership and inspiration to the Board of Directors, ensuring the Lexicon Institute of Technology achieves its mission and long-term goals.

Prof. Jayantha Rajapakse
A Board Member

Prof. Jayantha Rajapaksa is a Senior Professor in Parasitology and Professor and Chair of the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. He has published over 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts and trained and supervised 8 PhD, 29 MPhil, and 58 MSc graduate students. As a leading researcher in veterinary medicine, he has been awarded the Presidential Research Award annually since 1987 by the Sri Lankan government. Rajapaksa has been invited to various institutions, including Kochi Medical School, University of Glasgow, CDC, University of Osaka, and University of Hobbiton. He continues to play a pivotal role in advancing veterinary research and higher education in Sri Lanka and beyond.

Mr. Isuru Withanage

(BSc in Culinary Management)

Isuru Withange is a distinguished professional in the hospitality and culinary sector with expertise in education, leadership, and business management. A graduate of the Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management (SLITHM), he began his career at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo, before completing a Bachelor of Culinary Management at William Angliss Institute, Melbourne, and further training at Box Hill Institute, Australia. He later served as a lecturer at Veritas Institute, contributing to the development of future hospitality professionals. As Founder and Chairman of Flavour Industry in Melbourne, Isuru leads a rapidly expanding group of restaurants and venues recognized for operational excellence and premium dining experiences.

Dr. Manushini Rajakaruna

(MBBS, MRCPsych)

Dr. Manushini Angammana is an accomplished psychiatrist with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience across the United Kingdom, India, and Australia. She earned her MBBS from Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India, before completing her specialty training in psychiatry (MRCPsych, UK) at South West London St. George’s Mental Health NHS Trust. Her career includes over six years of clinical practice in leading teaching hospitals across London, Manchester, Aberdeen, and Colombo, where she contributed to both patient care and the academic development of medical trainees. Dr. Angammana is an active participant and a published researcher in mental health and has been deeply involved in teaching and mentoring medical students, training junior doctors, and serving as a mock examiner in psychiatry assessments. Since 2016, she has been a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK, Australia, and New Zealand), underscoring her commitment to professional excellence and international standards of psychiatric care.

Mr. Kashyapa Angammana

Mr. Kashyapa Angammana is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a strong international background in engineering and project management. He earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from Kingston University, UK, in 2008, followed by an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Brunel University, London, in 2012. During his career, Mr. Angammana has held senior engineering roles across multiple sectors, including petroleum, dockyards, and health care, bringing technical expertise and leadership to complex engineering projects. He is an active member of several professional bodies, including APMS (UK), Engineers Australia, and the Association of Mechanical Engineers (US), reflecting his commitment to maintaining global standards of engineering excellence.

Mrs. Vindya Rajakaruna

Mrs. Vindya Rajakaruna is an accomplished corporate leader and an electrical engineer with extensive experience in engineering, product development, and professional mentoring. She earned her Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from RMIT Melbourne in 2016 and completed further professional development at Monash College in 2018, where she was recognized as an Outstanding Achievement Nominee in 2019. She is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Melbourne to further enhance her strategic leadership capabilities. With her professional experience within global companies, Vindya now works closely with TAFE colleges, and apprenticeship programs across Australia and New Zealand, including Master Builders, Swinburne university, RMIT TAFE, and Melbourne Polytechnic institute, overseeing initiatives across several sectors in training and mentoring interns and graduates in multiple regions across the world including Australia, New Zealand, Germany, UK, Philippines and China.

Dr. Rohan Samarasinghe

Dr. Rohan Samarasinghe is the Head of ICT at the University of Colombo, specializing in Information Technology. With a background in Physical Science, Information Science, and Business Administration, he has received scholarships from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Before joining the University of Colombo, he served as a Senior Lecturer at SLIIT and worked at UCSC. He also held positions as Executive Director of Sri Lanka Technology Incubator from 2010 to 2013. Currently, he works as a consultant and member of the Advisory Board for government organizations, Provincial Councils, Ministries, JICA, and private sector corporations in the areas of information technology, technology management, System implementations, and Business Process Reengineering. He brings a wealth of expertise in information technology, innovation, and strategic management to the Board of Directors of the Lexicon Institute of Technology, strengthening its vision for academic and technological excellence.

T. B. Damunupola, a seasoned educator with over 40 years of experience in Sri Lanka's education sector, has served as principal at several prominent schools. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Peradeniya, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Merit) from the University of Sri Lanka, and an International Diploma in Education Planning and Administration from New Delhi. Damunupola has been appointed as a Council Member of the University of Peradeniya and the National Institute of Education and has also contributed to promoting sports and extracurricular activities.

Mrs. P. M. Damunupola, a First-Class Science Trained Teacher and member of the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service, has over four decades of experience in Sri Lanka's school system. She has held leadership roles in leading schools and has been recognized internationally for her outstanding contribution to science education. Mrs. Damunupola has also made significant contributions to national education development, serving as curriculum adviser for the Ministry of Education's Home Economics stream, and participating in national curriculum reform projects in Biology and Environmental Education. She has also collaborated on international initiatives, including NORAD and the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development.

Mr. Mahathma Senaviratne

Mahathma Senaviratne is a seasoned academic and professional in Computer Science and Technology, with a Bachelor of Science, MSc, Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Technology, and Postgraduate Diploma in Education. He has experience as a lecturer at the Sri Lanka Technological Campus and as a consultant for software projects. His academic interests and professional engagements aim to combine theoretical knowledge with real-world application, preparing students for the ever-evolving technology sector.

Dr. S. W. Samaranayake

Dr. Sarath Withanarachchi Samaranayake is a seasoned academic and researcher specializing in applied linguistics, English language teaching, and curriculum innovation. He holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of South Africa, where his doctoral research focused on academic writing pedagogy through a process genre approach. With over three decades of teaching and research experience in Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Oman, and Thailand, he has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals and serves as a peer reviewer and editor for several academic publications. His work continues to bridge theory and practice, offering impactful insights into learner engagement and English language education in higher education. He is a Certified Publons Academy Peer Reviewer and maintains active scholarly profiles on Scopus, ORCID, Google Scholar, and Web of Science.

Major General Dr. C. Wickramasinghe

Major General C. Wickramasinghe, a retired military leader, has a distinguished career in the Sri Lanka Army, serving in various roles, such as Field Commander, Staff Officer, Academic Administrator, and Researcher. He is a certified UN Trainer of Trainers for military and civilian staff. Wickramasinghe graduated from the Indian Military Academy in 1990 and completed advanced training in National Security and War Studies at the Korea National Defense University. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Colombo and a PhD from General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. He was awarded honorary citizenship in Nonsan City, Republic of Korea, and serves as an honorary advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea on the peaceful unification of the Korean Peninsula.

Mr. Jaliya Weliwatta

Mr. Jaliya Weliwatta, is a seasoned professional with a background in project consultancy, marketing, and ICT. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delhi and an MBA from the Open University of Malaysia. With over a decade of experience, Weliwatta has made significant contributions to marketing and ICT, particularly in national-level initiatives like the Nenasala Project. He also has expertise in information infrastructure development and strategic consultancy. He is currently the Managing Director of Enrich Lanka International and Apex Star and serves as an Advisor to the Colombo Municipal Council. Weliwatta is passionate about social development and advocates for the Social Economy as a model for sustainable national development.
